Plunkett Foundation
Plunkett Foundation has more than 90 years’ experience supporting rural communities to take control of the issues that affect them and realise the benefits of community ownership.
Best known for the support it gives the network of 264community owned shops that exist across the UK, it also helps communities set up and run a range of other community enterprises, from local pubs to food and farming enterprises.
Plunkett Foundation, along with partner organisations Action with Communities in Rural England (ACRE), Co-operatives UK and Locality will offer help and support to the communities inspired by Village SOS.
A dedicated team of advisers will help communities on their journey towards becoming a successful community led business, from initial idea right through to becoming a fully-fledged enterprise, owned and run for the benefit of the entire community.
The partnership will also reach out to communities through a series of events, which will take place across the UK, and give communities the chance to come together to learn more from the experts and inspire each other.
