The Social Enterprise Loan Fund (TSELF), a Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) and registered charity, is providing loans ranging from £3,000 to £250,000 to social enterprises and charities.
To date, TSELF has invested £8 million in social enterprises across the UK, helping clients to generate job opportunities as well as training places.
Among the successful projects is Learning Fields CIC, an outdoor learning social enterprise in Cumbria, which received a £30,000 loan to help people of all ages and abilities to get closer to nature.
Together Works, the social enterprise network for Greater Manchester, also received a loan, in this instance for £50,000 to help the organisation manage cashflow and operate more efficiently.
